At the moment, there is no explanation as to where Pillagers got their Ravagers from. So, I think it might be interesting to add a wild version of this beast: the Woolly Ravager. These hairy beasts can be rarely found in herds wandering around in cold biomes. They are neutral, but like regular Ravagers, perfectly capable of dealing with meddlesome players. The lore that I came up for them is that Pillagers seek out these herds and bring them to their outposts to train them as beasts of war. And just as pillagers and villagers have shaved heads, they shave the Ravagers too (Interesting insight into villager culture).
However, if the player gets to them first, it is possible to tame them, using a rabbit’s foot. One, this reconnects Ravagers to rabbits (as originally, they were supposed to be scared of rabbits) and two, it makes taming them quite difficult, which is good. Upon being tamed, players can saddle and ride them. Of course, such a feature needs to be balanced, so I think Woolly Ravagers should lumber around at about the same speed as pigs, but can be made to charge (pressing ctrl), which doubles their speed. Charging can only be done for a limited amount of time, with a cooldown afterwards. But, when a charging Woolly Ravager hits another mob, it deals 5-9 damage, so they would still be interesting to use in combat.
I think that Woolly Ravagers would add a bit of interest to colder biomes and would be a fun gameplay addition, especially in Raids.
