What:
Truss Block
A building/decoration block; Intended for engineering aesthetic/structural aesthetics.
Why:
Builders that want to build industrial, strong-looking support structure blocks have been limited to some basic blocks like wood, stone, iron, and fence-types. This truss block would allow builders to further creatively explore industrial and technical aesthetic builds without compromising by using the existing and somewhat difficult to work with fence-type blocks.
How:
Metal or wood base style.
Acts just like a normal block, however, due to the hollow nature of trussing, the truss block should be able to be waterlogged. I understand that the waterlogged effect only works on non-full blocks, so perhaps this would be the perfect block to release along with what I understand to be a future update in which waterlogging could affect full blocks as well.
I believe that the truss block should look like a hollow iron bar box frame, with iron bars forming an X to each corner on each face of the cube.
A decent cost for the truss would be 5 iron ingots, arranged in an X pattern, giving 8 truss blocks; This is to keep in-line with the apparent cost to make an iron rod, as used in the Iron bars recipe.
*Side note: Perhaps a rusted/decayed variant would go along with ruins and further pushes the creative possibilities of this style of block as well.
