Change Fence State by Right-Clicking with Axe

Similarly to how you can right click on grass with a shovel to turn the block into a path, or right click on logs to turn the block into stripped wood, you should be able to right click on a fence/wall with an axe/pickaxe to switch it between 3 states. These states would be:

1) The fence/wall attaches to all solid blocks (Like all fences currently work all the time)
2) The fence/wall only attaches to other fences/walls
3) The fence/wall doesn't attach to any other blocks

I feel like this addition balances simplicity and functionality very well. This simple change would add a depth of options when placing fences and walls in decorative designs. You would no longer have to worry about a tree being too close to a pen, or breaking the illusion of using fence as rope because something touches it. Additionally, it would make the creation of fences more realistic. After all, the builder of a fence would never accidentally attach it to random structures just because they are too close to the fence.

    this would require extra block data, as when reloading the chunk, the fence still needs to connect to the same things.

    i doubt this will get implemented soon.

    They did something similar with redstone dots, though not exactly the same.
    This would be a great feature for improving builds,
