Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Geodes

These new rocks would generate randomly underground in veins of 1. When mined with any pickaxe that isn't enchanted with Silk Touch, they would drop 1-3 of a random mineral from a specific selection of materials. They are more likely to drop Redstone, less likely to drop Nether Quartz or Emeralds, and will rarely drop Amethyst (the only source of Amethyst). The new amethyst would be used to brew Resistance potions or sold to certain classes of villagers. Adding geodes would give the Overworld a little more spice without breaking it.

    what if geodes formed in veins, with a boring smooth rock design on the outside, but crystal on the inside (like mushroom blocks)
