Nether Oasis / Blight Field (Sub-biomes)

A sub-biome only a 2x2 chunks wide called an oasis, it is full of vegetation from the overworld but warped with nether features. This biome would be surrounded by obsidian pillars/spikes and a portal or sacrificial table to add more potential lore to the game.

This same feature could have an alternate version known as a blight field or a wart root that will take place in the overworld, a small patch of corrupted grass and in the centre exists a half destroyed portal, where does this portal lead? Probably to the holy land of half slabs and cave updates.

Another possibility could be an altar that is required to spawn a mini boss known as the Wilt Wraith, a 3 block tall  semi decayed skeleton with a tattered robe and a long scythe. If a player receives the scythe, they will possess some of the abilities that the Wilt Wraith would have to make the battle more challenging.

love this! the portal structure in the blight field could act as a way to learn about the nether without having to use the internet
