Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Imaginary Blocks

The idea is that when you drink a certain potion called Imaginary Potion, blocks that were previously invisible and which you could not interact with in any way, become visible. For example, there could be imaginary stairs that cannot be used until you drink the imaginary potion. The way to obtain the potion can be like how one would brew any other potion. The imaginary blocks are created when you place blocks from your inventory while you have the Imaginary potion effects. Any real blocks that were broken after drinking the potion will re-appear when the effect wears off. If a real block was replaced by an imaginary block, it will revert back to the real block once the effects have worn off.  In this case, barrier blocks, liquids, void blocks, and air also count as normal blocks. This is just an idea, so it would be great to hear suggestions to improve it!

    I'd rather call this spectral blocks and a potion effect called spectral phase. But maybe you could normally see these blocks but only as a barely viable glow.

    You could make the item to make the potion be an item with a low drop rate from nightmares because they don't appear always. I'm actually all for this idea. Could be a special Castle that spawns only at night too. Then it disappears at dawn and the potion only works at night and ends at daytime. Also being able to see a faint outline or light or something during the day to see it would make it able to be found.

    I think this will really mess around with just the block system in general. What happens when you place a block on an imaginary block or drink the potion while inside it? This really is a new plane of existence

    I was thinking something more like invisible liquid... you can only see it when you are in touch with it. What do you say??😏
