Since the Nether update is coming and it adds some cool new things for us, it still feels a bit blank. With this biome it would add some new block that some map maker may like or even builder.
The obsidian valley is a very black/purple place. It will be rare to find in the nether it will really rare to find. In the obsidian valley you will find it hard maneuver the place. This is because you'll find giant obsidian spikes that come out of the ground. These obsidian spikes will have a magma block veins on the spikes. Be careful when going up the spikes or even going on it because there's a new block called chisel obsidian. If you stand on it too long it will break after 4 to 3 seconds and if you mine it you only need an iron or up. On the ground of this biome you'll find black sand which looks like black sand with black glass in parts of it. This will be scattered around the biome. mainly found by the lava streams in that biome. When you start to move on it you take damage and crouched you still get hurt, but take less damage. You can find a wood called chard wood on the ground by obsidian spikes and when broken you get 1 to 2 charcoal.
