Observers don't detect noteblock note changes(Java Parity)

When Noteblocks change notes or gets pressed observers don't detect the change.

    and observers dont detect pimpkin/melon stem changes either

    That's right, I cannot even make a contraption to open my Iron door with a note block

    Since the button is too small, I struggle to open my door with my controller so please make that a thing

    I know that noteblock has its charms, but there are some alternatives:
    the bell, the fence gate and the coolest thing is the item frame
