Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Netherite should stop working at 1 durability, like elytras

If netherite is becoming the endgame armor/tools, it would make sense to give it the same functionality as elytra, the other end game “armor” where when at 1 durability it stops working gives the player a chance to reforge it

    Sorry but I think that is overpowered considering you couldnt do this with diamond armour. But maybe it can be repaired by physically appearing cracked but if not noticed by the player will shatter

    I don't see the point in this, netherite equipment has a ridiculously high durability, also with the enchantments unbreaking and mending they'll become basically indestructible anyways.

    but if you do it the netherite armor will be so much op and it will be cursed.

    I agree. I was about to post this same suggestion. I think that it would make a lot of sense. I think that Netherite, being as indestructible as it is, it shouldn't be destroyed when it runs out of durability.

    It'd be interesting if instead, it reverted to Diamond (maybe at 50% durability rather than 100%) so it doesn't just vanish, but you have to upgrade it to Netherite again.

    I think this would be nice but it doesn't make sense, the elytra are these rare basically dragon (so they're almost organic wings that become disenchanted when the break

    Netherite is a metal and like metal tools it makes sense that it breaks, has nothing organic about it, and you would repair with a netherite ingot so you might as well make new gear because it loses all enchantement anyways, and for anyone who actually get fortune 3 and knows how and were to get diamonds, chestplates are even easy to get, and to get levels you just fight the enderdragon once and you get like 70 levels for enchantments

    These comments are unhinged. A tool not breaking is at best a quality-of-life issue, since either you aren't using Mending and you'd need another Netherite tool to repair it anyway, or you are using Mending and the only time this is an issue is when you are mining a lot and forget to swap a tool out when its at low durability. So, what is netherite; a rare material that just slightly upgrades diamond gear and is fire/lava proof. Its role is clearly to create late-game gear that is difficult for the player to accidentally lose, because the materials to make it are so rare. It is in the exact same category as an elytra. And that was deemed rare enough not to break when it runs out of durability. So, suggesting that netherite tools and armor should do the same is a completely fair argument.

    And, if it's a lore reason, you can come up with a reason either way. Like, oooo, netherite is so incredibly tough it can only ever get worn down, not destroyed. That's why you find it in a scrap after all this time!
