Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Change netherrack to a different material under y=30/ more nether stones

Below y=30 or around the lower part of the nether change the material to a tougher, more usable block than netherrack, like basalt or a similar block in terms of grayness/darkness. This would make mining for debris less of a mindless chore as getting the block is more rewarding beccause you can use it in more builds. The main reason I bring this up is that basalt currently is one of the only survival friendly gray block that has a rough texture, and its pretty difficult to get in large amounts as of now. Changing the generation to be like this is now is the perfect time since all the new biomes are coming.

 

This would be a huge missed opportunity if not added, because a lot of players would like easy access to more blocks that look great at take some of the dullness of mining for netherite away.

    Perhaps 'hardened netherrack' could be added that looks like a dark purple stone with lava cracks cracking though?
