Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Netherite should be combinable with all armor

Ok so originally I saw this idea in a different form on reddit and I thought it was an amazing idea. So from how I see it netherite is supposed to be a Grindy type resource. So why not make it able to be combined with all armor and tool types? Not only does it make it more of a commodity (I.e. being able to make every armor with netherite upgrades). And giving those armors unique buffs from the netherite. Like if diamond had a high defense, but gold has higher durability and mining speed, and leather gives higher movement speed. Stuff like that. Obviously this is a little off base from what Minecraft is now but with the armor power balance changing I think this would be cool.

    I see your point and it would be cool and all, but maybe netherite upgrades to all armor isn't the correct way to implement it. It would ruin tiers. What I mean is, what is the point of tiers (aka 1 set of armor being better than the other) when all of them have unique buffs?

    Still, I'm down for the idea of different types of netherite-like items using it to upgrade diamond. Perhaps an armor with plus 2 armor toughness compared to the plus 1 armor toughness netherite offers over diamond, but no knockback resistance? This set of armor is still obtained by a diamond piece plus another upgrade item. Perhaps add different netherite scrap-gold ingot ratios? higher gold ratios increases pickaxe mining speed but gives not as much durability buff?
