Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Limenite, an Alternative Option to Netherite

I Think it would be good to have an alternative option to Netherite for upgrading your Diamond Tools/Armor.

A new Metal/material that is also hard to find/get. It's found either in the End Dimension or a new dimension like a Sky/Aether dimension. As a place holder I'm going to call this new material Limenite. (You would have to choose between Netherite or Limenite)

  • Limenite Ingots can be crafted similarly to Netherite ingots To where you get 4 Limenite chunks and combine them with 4 gold ingots in the crafting table or with a different material that can be associated with the "Sky or End" dimension like how gold is associated with the nether.
  • Limenite tools/armor would have the ability to float in a new liquid found in the "Sky or End" Dimension, that would otherwise cause items to sink/slow down.
  • Limenite Tools/Armor in item form could have a slow falling affect when made airborne.
  • Limenite Armor could give you +1 Poison or Lightning or slowness resistance.
  • Limenite Armor could give you slightly slower fall speed or a little bit of innate fall damage reduction.
  • Limenite Tools could have a mining/swinging speed increase from diamond, but no durability increase. And to contrast that, Netherite Tools could have no mining/swinging speed increase but has an even greater durability increase then it currently has.
  • Add new enchantments that only can be put on Limenite and new enchantments that can only be put on Netherite.
  • Limenite & Netherite would have some shared basic benefits.

    This is a great idea, and I think the gear upgrading idea should definitely be expanded upon with things other than Netherite. However, before we begin adding new dimensions we should give the end some love first, because it seems quite barren.

    I like the format of this idea, however I think you could go even further and have lots of similar materials, each adding a specific ability, like the lava resistance.
    Enderite would fit the naming scheme, and I think the tools should such items they mine / drop into your inventory (useful in the end where there are big drops) and the armour should deflect shulker bullets.
