Endermap

I think it would be ideal to have a better map item in Minecraft. Something that's useful in exploration and finding your way back. There exists many minimap mods, but one in vanilla would be nice. What I have in mind is a thematically fitting ender map, which could be created with 8 unused maps and an eye of ender in the middle, as an "all-seeing eye". While holding this map in your hand or off-hand and moving, the marker for your character stays in the middle, but the landscape moves according to where you go. As I said, this would make exploration a bit nicer. Some kind of map markers or tracing where you've been would also help a bit, but not necessary. This is my idea.
