Temperate Forest

I live in the great lakes area and the forests we have here are entirely different from the one in minecraft. In this biome we should have towering trees of both spruce and oak and ash trees with their large bulbs of leaves. On the ground there is not grass but either podzal or coarse dirt. However there is lots of foliage like double tall grass and ferns which can make it hard to see the berry bush you're about to step into. There is also the occasional brown mushroom and rose bush. If you happen to find a river in the biome you'll also find that there are a few crops nearby the river, making it desirable to find. There are also some mobs exclusive to this biome such as the deer or squirrel. From the earlier mentioned ash trees's you might be able to snatch an acorn to tempt a squirrel that otherwise would've been too fast to see. Acorns are edible if you are in a pinch but only restore half a food unit.
