Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Netherite Bow

I think you guys should add a netherite bow and maybe even a blue fire arrow. I just feel like Minecraft could use some more ranged weapons of sorts.

    I think that is a great idea, it can already come with punch so that way it is balanced and doesn't do more damage then a regular bow. We only have tridents  and crossbows as another source of ranged damage items that do more than a heart of damage

    I totally agree. Minecraft has 6 melee weapons and 2 ranged weapons that aren't that much different from each other. Some better bow types would bows have a tier progression. We also need bows that don't burn in lava.

    I would also make the bow more powerful and with better range, also I would make it so you can only make it with the fletching table, I think that's a good idea since in snapshot 20w10a the netherite stuff is made using the smithing table.

    I love this idea. The only thing I would say is instead of naming it the "Netherite Bow", both bows can be renamed to specify what they are. The one we have now being a "Wooden Bow" and the new one being a "Compound Bow".

    That is super genius and sounds so cool. I can already see my friends and I shooting blue flamed arrows at each other from around the nether!

    I like the idea of using the fletching table to make netherite bows. This could be a really OP weapon especially if it gets really good enchantments maybe you have to craft a normal bow out of blaze rods instead of sticks and then you get a blaze bow but you can’t use it (but maybe you can with an enchantment of some sort?) and then you have to use a smithing table to combine netherite to the blaze bow and get a netherite bow.(you still can’t use it yet) and then you need to fletch soul bows which are the only kind of bows that work for the netherite bow. It can be affected by the infinity enchantment, which means soul bows forever!!!! (Well technically until your bow runs out or you die and lose all your things)

    I Think this is a great idea. My only suggestion is that The arrows it shoots would have what flame does, and if you were to put flame on it, the person/mob you shot would be on fire for a longer time.

    Stuff like this needs more attention.

    Netherite Crossbow would probably make more sense, but I guess both could get in.

    That will be awesome a bow could deal up to 24 damage a stronger netherite bow will be crazy.

    This is precisely what I was thinking! Although we could also have netherite tridents and crossbows. Equally you could have netherite shields, fishing rods and carrot / fungus on a stick, however I don’t feel like they’re as mainstream as bows, tridents and crossbows are.

    I think you should add emerald armor and tools. I think emeralds are just useless unless you trade but emeralds need more uses.

    Maybe call it a Netherite Reinforced Bow/Netherite Reinforced Crossbow. They would be upgraded at the Fletching table just like diamond things are upgraded at the smithing table. The resulting weapon would take slightly longer to draw but it would shoot further and hit harder. It would also have 1015 (half a netherite pick) durability instead of the wimpy 384.

    Also at the Fletching table, you could take Arrows (or maybe Spectral Arrows) and combine them with soul sand/soul soil to make Soul Fire arrows. Soul Fire arrows would ignite targets on hit. They could be fired from a normal bow/crossbow but they would really damage it because they burn.

    This netherite bow should have better range and accuracy. It should be crafted by just combining a regular bow with a netherite ingot, just like you would when crafting netherite tools and armor. Although I don’t thing it should necessarily do more damage because it would be too overpowered. I also don’t think that this should mean that other ore bows should be introduced because you craft netherite items differently than other ore items. But overall, I think netherite bows would make a great addition, just don’t start doing diamond and iron bows.

    we cant have infinity and mending at the same time so the netherite bow have a bit more durability

    if your netherite bow is enchanted with flame it will shoot soul fire arrow instead of fire arrow

    same damage but higher durability
    soul fire instead of fire with flame enchant

    It might be an unpopular opinion, but i don't think Minecraft needs another bow. Or Over powered items. The simplicity of the game is one of the main reasons people play it. Keeping it simple is essential. You get all these new items in and after so many items and so many updates it becomes like every other online game. It becomes cluttered and dies like the rest. Minecraft is simple enough to where a 5 year old can play and have fun. Yet complicated enough for an adult to find enjoyment as well. As i said, i am sure mine is not a popular opinion. But it is mine...
