Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Basalt exists! Smooth varients and walls of Basalt should exist too.!

First of all, I really love the texturing done on Basalt, but I feel that it being a rock just like Andesite, Diorite, and Granite should have not only a smoothed version of itself, but slabs, stairs, and a fence/wall block!  I've been wanting a darker stone variant to work with and Basalt feels like a great candidate!

    Perhaps a new variant is also in order: normal basalt, just the top texture. Found on the floors of the pillars?

    I would think that smooth basalt would look a little bit like asphalt, and that's a good thing. Imagine roads with smooth basalt! It seems more vanilla-minecrafty to have smooth basalt instead of asphalt.
