Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Minting Emerald Coins

Essentially a refined version of an Emerald. Maybe a crafting recipe that requires two emeralds, flint, and iron to mint a coin. Essentially something worth more to the villagers, raw emerald in a condensed non-block form, and something nifty to work with. I'd imagine texture pack producers could have some fun with designing their own mint coins

    If purchasing "powerful" items from villagers (e.g. diamond armor) required a refined form of emerald, these trades would be less easily exploited; emeralds can be easily obtained through loopholes, and are worth the same as many hard to obtain items according to some current trades. Whether these coins are crafted with balanced resources or obtainable only through less exploitable trades, they may have a higher value and divide the trade system into high and low value items. If implemented carefully, this item's addition can balance trading greatly.
