EDIT:
This has been added to the 1.19 update.
"When used as fuel for furnaces, they now burn equally as long as a bamboo does."
Bamboo currently only can smelt 0.25 items per bamboo.
However if you take 6 bamboo and 1 string and turn them into scaffolding (6 bamboo makes 6 scaffolds), you would be able to smelt 12 items (6 scaffolding * 2 smelts/scaffold) in Java edition or 36 ITEMS (6 scaffolding * 6 smelts/scaffold) in Bedrock edition!
If you took those 6 bamboo and used them normally to smelt, you would only be able to smelt 1.5 items.
1.5 items vs 12 or 36 items is a BIG difference, especially considering they are literally both bamboo. Why is there such a big gap between these items smelt times?! Why does bamboo become THAT MUCH more powerful when crafting it into scaffolding??? Also why is 1 scaffolding able to smelt 6 items on bedrock edition, that's way to OP!? Don't make bedrock edition into baby edition pls.
Proposes:
(Java edition):
x1 Bamboo smelts: 0.25 -> 0.5
x1 Scaffolding smelts: 2 -> 1
(Bedrock edition):
x1 Bamboo smelts: 0.25 -> 0.5
x1 Scaffolding smelts 6 -> 1
p.s. Crafting 2 bamboo for 1 stick is pretty bad too.
