Bats Stealing Items

Bats can steal items in the intventar from the player (diamonds, diamond tools and other valuables have a higher priority). Flying up to the player, the bat beats him and with a 20% chance steals his item. If she not what not steal, then through while, will fly up again as the phantom and will hit player, and so until that-either not steal. When the theft is successful, the bat flies to a secluded place and hides there like an ocelot. The item can only fall out after the death of the bat. They can exchange stolen items by throwing, and spawn in flocks of 4-5 pieces, flying together and robbing the player. Thus, bats will be more dangerous than now.

    That would be a cool feature to the bat mob, I have an idea that you can add to this. What if there was an enchantment to prevent theft from those pesky bats. It can be applied to any item. This enchantment lowers the priority of the item so it's not immune to being stolen. There can also be different tiers. (The names are just an example) Keeping I, Keeping II, Keeping III and Keeping IV. Each one lowering priority more than others. There is also a potential for a curse. For example, Curse of Shinyness. This curse will make the priority of the item go up. It can also be used to your advantage by putting it on junk items so they get stolen instead of the precious items. Also, I wanted to point out that it would be a good idea that bats couldn't take items that have curse of binding.

    This seems like it would be better suited towards possible Bird/Monkey mobs. I don't quite see bats as the type to have much interest in a shiney object. But there are a couple birds known for snatching shiny bits and bobs, in addition to monkeys that will outright snatch whole bags from people
