The Desert Archive is a new generated structure that rarely appears in the desert! The first chest you see is trapped, and will activate a trapdoor below the first carpet. There is magma at the bottom. The second chest is hidden under the orange carpet. This chest is not trapped, and contains useful loot. There is also two banners, one which appears to be an orange ankh symbol on a yellow banner. The other one appears to be a totem of undying. These two banners would be new items, labelled "Totem Banner" and "Ankh Banner" respectively. There would also be a bookshelf with a skeleton skull, and a loom. A lectern and chair would also be present, with the book in the lectern reading: "Evoking spirits lay at rest... Thy totems shalt keep the user blest..." (which is a reference to the Evoker and its totem). The text in the book would be obfuscated, forcing the reader to manually edit the book. The original owner of the archive may have been trying to recreate a totem themselves, as shown in the hidden chest. This would also explain the two banners, the ankh symbol meaning "life", and the totem bringing life. Not only would this add a whole other layer of lore to the Minecraft storyline, but in general I think this would be a great idea to add as a rare, albeit mysterious structure.
