Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Nether Fern

The Nether Fern would be extremely rare and would have many useful, and deadly properties. One idea for the Nether Fern is for it to be able to smelt items in a furnace, and you would be able to farm it using blaze powder the same way you use bone meal on flowers or crops. The Nether Fern would set you on fire when you walked into it, but the coolest idea for it is that blazes would be able to charge up their fire balls when they flew into it. The Nether Fern would attract blazes too.

    I love the blaze powder-bone meal idea! Another possible property could be a potion of combustion ingredient. Sort of a corrupted fire resistance potion, setting mobs on fire when it hits them, or at least making them vulnerable to fire.
