Why shouldn't certain achievements present more than just the satisfaction of having done something? It just makes sense, right?
Okay here's an achievement.. "A Balanced Diet: Eat everything that is edible even if it is not good for you." Okay.. so you've made it this far, right? But what's the point? Achievements in Minecraft have always been something that never really associated with me and I've rarely seen anyone pursue these in their play-through. Where's the merit in pursuing such aimless goals? Can't "A Balanced Diet" present the benefit of at least being able to tell the nutritional value of something just by looking at it?
Okay here's another one. "Serious Dedication: Completely use up a diamond hoe, and then reevaluate your life choices." Sounds like such a waste, right? Can't there be some kind of merit, say receiving a skill that lets you right-click on a fully matured crop thus instantly replenishing it with another seed in the dirt? It would be something small, but also quite satisfying to have for having spent a diamond on such a feet, I think.
Other additional merits and skills achieved by pursuing specific achievement lines would be an exciting way to "max out" your Minecraft Character. Sort of like an MMORPG.
