It’s always kind of bothered me that when in water you hear the echoes of what sounds like a dangerous and scary sea beast. Like a huge monster lurking in the deep.
The Hydragorge, however, is a friendly one of a kind mob. The player cannot kill it. The only way to see it is to call it toward you through placement of 3 conduits in a vertical line like so:
Water
Conduit
Water
Conduit
Water
Conduit
Water
With a sea lantern 3x3 base. This will create a sonic boom like wave and call the Hydragorge toward the signal. You’ll hear the call of the beast’s roar and in the distance will begin to slowly swim toward the conduit tower.
The beast will circle the conduit tower 1-3 times and then swim away again. The beast will prevent any dolphins grace effects to stop the player swimming fast as or faster than the beast.
Swiping the Hydragorge with a sword will drop a Hydrascale.
The hydrascale can be used for multiple uses.
-mixing it into a potion allows you to have faster movement speed and seeing 20 blocks in front of the player in lava.
-Anvil combination with a sword allows the player the freeze a mob delivering cold damage alike fire damage but can’t be spread when touched. If a mob thaws they have slowness for 10 seconds afterwards.
- Anvil combination on a trident allows the player to send an electrical or icy chain to an enemy when struck In water but to all hostile mobs in water in a 10 block radius.
Eating it would call upon a thunderstorm.
Using it as an exchange object in a beaconator prevents all hostile mobs in the range from spawning.
What the beast looks like is up to you, but I see it as a scary looking beast but has no intentions of killing any mobs.
