soul sand valley mob: the Sand Specter (with concept images)

They spawn on soul sand and are invisible until you step on the sand, at which point they will play a rising animation and show themselves. they shoot blue fireballs at you while you are standing on sand. they do not move and only move by burrowing under sand and rising elsewhere. when you step off of the sand they burrow back under.

    I love this idea! Maybe the mob could attempt to drag you under the soul sand and eat your soul or something.

    I think if they randomly popped up in a rainbow formation and could be heard audibly digging before becoming visible that would be more logical. And they would also have a overworld desert counterpart; the sand digger that may or may not appear during sandstorms (if/when implemented.)
