Remove "Java" from the title of Java edition

The words "Java Edition" Should be removed from the original version of Minecraft.

No, this is not me being a nostalgia lover, I have quite a few legitimate reasons why both editions of he game should simply be called "Minecraft"

Both games are completely valid versions to play, and giving names to the main versions (Java and Bedrock) only divides the community, especially when only one of them uses the name in the title. While these names should still be in use so players can differentiate from the two, Either Java edition should simply show "Minecraft" on the title screen, or bedrock should show "Minecraft: Bedrock edition. Java tends to be updated faster, has the main development team, and was the original version. Relegating Java to be a "spin-off" of Bedrock is doing it an injustice, especially since it is many people's preferred version! Java and Bedrock both have pros and cons, and thus should be considered equals, so please give Java the title "Minecraft" back!

    I agree with this completely, everything in this post. I think you can't just take the title from the main or original game and move it somewhere else.

    This is because the bedrock edition is universal, it's what the developers intended the game to be, at this point in time the java edition is the odd one out. It's simply called Minecraft because it's what ALL platforms (Play Station aside) can use universally. It's called the java edition because that's what it runs, Java.    It may be many people's preferred version but so is bedrock edition. I feel that this would confuse things, "What version of Minecraft do you use?", "Minecraft", "Which one", "Minecraft.". Now with 'Minecraft' and 'Minecraft Java Edition', they are distinguishable.

     

    Minecraft Bedrock is technically simply called 'Minecraft', no edition. It is universal, it unites all the consoles and PC's (Not Play Station though).

    No, because java edition is named that so people don't mix it up with bedrock, which runs on C++

    The fact that Bedrock Edition doesn't have it while Java Edition does, feels horribly unfair. I get that Bedrock Edition is technically the more universal and popular version of the game but both deserve to be seen as equal. For me, it makes Java Edition feel like it was kicked to the side (even if it wasn't). The "Edition" title should be on both or none, and honestly I would prefer the ladder.

    Considering the distinction of coding language used between Java and Bedrock, they should both state which edition on their title screens; Bedrock Edition needs the parity of having its part in the title and state so with "Minecraft".

    then just add the bedrock edition title to bedrock edition. its not that difficult.
