Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Netheorite Ore (ne-thor-ite)

This would be a hellish ore added to the Nether. Netheorite would have a design similar to those of iron, gold, etc. It would glow firey orange. You can find this ore around the lower levels of the Nether. You can only mine this ore with diamond tools, and it will drop as a block. You can smelt it into a furnace to make Netheorite ingots. These ingots would be used to make Netheorite tools, weapons, and armor. They would be stronger and more durable than diamond tools/armor, and basically be a step up from them. They would also have a more upgraded design than most other tools, weapons, and armor, having more of a hellish look, and some extra design features. I think it would be nice to see this in the Nether update, as having a natural spawning ore like this would help make the Nether be more live able, as that’s one of the main goals of the update.

    We need some kind of ore that can be crafted like this in the nether, though I would prefer it if the gear were equal to diamond, or maybe equal to iron with some unusual effects, sort of like turtle shells.

    Yes! This is definitely needed. However, two things- netheorite ore is a kind of redundant name, so it should be called just netherite. Also, building on what the above user said, netherite items should be just as powerful/durable as diamond items, but with an added buff (extra fire resistance?)

    Netherorite tools should have an auto smelt/ auto cook effect for items that can be cooked or smelted

    Wow this became an actual feature, not exactly as I predicted but very similar
