Stack (like snow-layers) to control the depth/height of an item frame's surface. This would allow surrounding blocks to cover-up the bright-wooden border *always visible* around the sides of the frame. Really, I just want to get rid of that ugly border. Additionally this could be used for a ton of decorative purposes.
Some Examples:
- Maps flat with the surface of a table-top (16 layers)
- Surveillance screen, inset slightly into a wall (12 layers)
- Better mounted torch! (2 or 3 layers)
- Roofing tile for shallow-sloping roofs!!!
- Custom "block surfaces" for map makers!
Why force maps 1 pixel above a surface or 15 pixels below? Why not give the PLAYER the choice at a height or depth? It would give players much more flexibility to their decor and look so much better!
