When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Water Hose (Java Edition)

I think a red-stone activated water hose could be added to stop fires without having the fill a certain area full of water with a water bucket. The beginning end of the hose can be left in a water source and the front end of the hose would begin to release water when activated with red-stone. The player could either perch the front end of the hose on a block to release water out or hold the hose in their hand and pull the hose to a certain distance away from the water source.

The water hose could potentially be used to activate pressure plates and target blocks when the player aims it at them, and can be crafted using leather and iron.

    Question: you said “perch.” So it’s not a block. What is it? No free moving “hose” would fit with Minecraft’s style, and that is what it seems like you’re suggesting. Also, why only Java Edition. People saying only one edition is way too common and SERIOUSLY ticking me off. It’s like suggesting your dream Minecraft update, and saying it costs ten bucks. Why the heck? If you don’t have to do something for technical reasons, DON’T!

    I don't like this Idea.

    I could never imagine a water hose in Minecraft.

    There is no reason to make something so complicated just to put out fires.

    From my experience with Redstone ,water should have nothing to do with it.

    Water destroys Redstone!

    If you put a bucket in a dispenser you can shoot out water so there is no need for a hose. Also, putting out fires isn’t hard and can be done with pistons if you are in the Nether.
