Soulsand Serpents

A ghost-themed serpent that would serve as a mini-boss for the new Soulsand Valley, giving a sense of danger to the player, while exploring the newly added biome.

    I'm voting for this! They should probably camoflauge on nether blocks, but no other blocks, making it so that if you made an arena out of wood, they would be an easy target. They should be able to shoot out wither skulls like the wither, and give you blindness and slowness with some other attacks.

    Ideas for this mob:
    I think it should spawn naturally on occasion and fly around, normally just a few blocks off the ground but I should be able to fly any where it wants when attacking a player.
    It should have a really low initial detection range and be slow moving when not attacking so it can easily be ovoided by the player until they're ready to fight it.
    It's movement and attack patterns should be simple; it should be constantly moving and when it decides to attack it should move in a straight line towards the player so its attacks can be ovoided.
    As for its drops, I'm not sure.
    In terms of the look of it, I'm imaging it being mainly made out of a dark brown, transparent texture but with a non-transparent dark wither looking spine and ribcage.

    what if it dropped a "serpents tooth" which when crafted with two sticks could be made into a spear which would have 4 blocks of range instead of 3.
