Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

The Golden Bucket

- A way to place water in the Nether, and store more of it too!

For example, maybe a more expensive bucket made out of gold that can not only place water in the Nether, but also store more water in it. I'm guessing maybe twice the amount of water a normal bucket can carry? It would make traveling in the Nether less dangerous, give another use to gold, have the player use less buckets since normal ones only store 1 thing of water before emptying, and fit in with the new Nether Update all at once.

    BRO!!! gold is just as easy to find in Minecraft, if not easier (since Nether update) compared to iron, first off there is no EXPENCIVE stuff in Minecraft! value is based of rarity, and since Nether update, gold is a VERY common Crafting item, it used to be about in the middle of iron and diamond, but since the Update gold is JUST AS COMMON AS COAL. if you consider it, gold (in the form of nuggets) is now the Easiest metal to find. good luck getting them to add it in the way you said. maybe you readers can look at my idea, which takes into account for gold having the weakest DUR of any material in Minecraft (its currently "pending" I hope it gets approved as a post)
