A new biome that would exist in the nether, as I am theming this around the nether update that was announced, the wither woods. A place of death and rot, dead trees, wither roses, and full of the tall, menacing, and dark creatures we call wither skeletons. So, heres the list and descriptions:
•Putridine(pue-tre-dine) trees; a tree made from rotting things and spirits, their logs are soft, squishy, and a putrid brown-green color. This tree has ghostly transparent white leaves that you can walk through, they will slow you down just a tiny bit, but not even close to the amount the trapped souls in the sand do…
•Putridine logs; the squishy ugly flesh of the Putridine tree, would be able to stop fall damage and bounce you about the same amount as a bed.
•Putridine leaves; the ghostly leaves of the Putridine tree, you can walk through these, but they also slow you down, and you can walk on top when there’s two blocks of these leaves underneath you. You can only collect these with silk touch, if you don’t you get an item called ectoplasm.
•Ectoplasm; an item dropped from breaking Putridine leaves, you can craft these together in a 2x2 grid to create a ghost block.
•Ghost block; a block that works similar to slime in the way that it’s sticky. It will be able to go through unmovable blocks like a ghost, and attach and work with pistons, however, it is not bouncy.
•Withered variants of overworld plants and mobs, as in withered cows, pigs, foxes, etc; these mobs will attack you and give you a wither effect in the same way a wither skeleton does.
•If you die with the withered effect, a wither skeleton will spawn where you were at with your stuff, you essentially withered to & after death.
As well as a new feature and danger of the wither effect, it can also effect plants. The wither effect will spread like a disease between mobs and plants, rotting and withering them all, every plant will get a withered variant, and trees will become Putridine trees in the overworld.
