Burnt sticks, and cooking with Lava

I had an idea where if you had a meat item in Minecraft, and crafted it with a stick, you would get (insert meat) on a stick. If you craft one of these, and then right click on lava, it would cook the meat, and give you a burnt stick. With this burnt stick, you could make another meat on a stick, but if you cook meat again then the stick will burn completely and you will not get the stick back.

I'm not sure how these suggestion things work, I hope this sounds okay ;-;
