Dödsråttan- The Nether Predator

Exploring the Nether seems bland and no threats that uses smarts, just ghast shooting at you. Well since the nether update is coming close I made a deadly predator that is smart and hunts in packs. The Dödsråttan. 

A powerful predator that lay siege to prey in teams of 2-5, They leap in the air and dive on you taking 3 hearts away, IF they don't hit prey they lay there stunned for 1.5 seconds and when blocked with shields the stun is 2x longer. They boast 15 hp as this leaping creature is fragile so it can jump higher. If 1 is managed to be slain then they drop rotten flesh bones and rarely Its tails and Its ears, The tail if crafted with a bow or crossbow will increase range and damage while the ears are used to make a potion of keen for spotting threats better. Of course not every thing about these creatures are violent: they sleep, they sit, and they play.

    So...nether foxes, in essence. 
    Given that it's a predator, I'm curious what it would actually hunt for.

    Also, I don't entirely understand the "Potion of Keen" and what it does. How does it help spot threats, and what is considered a threat?
