In Minecraft you should be able to color spawn eggs.
In Minecraft, one of my hobbies is to spend a lot of time making a custom entity that spawns from a spawn egg. But the problem is, the entity has to use a spawn egg that already exists in the game. So if I made a custom zombie with a custom skull and effects and everything to the point where it is a new mob, the spawn egg is a zombie spawn egg, showing that it's just a customized zombie.
But if you were to be able to color the spawn egg like you do leather armor, that would allow for a million combinations to be created! This is how I picture it: The spawn egg has 2 parts to select the color, the main surface and the dots. You would alter the color like this: The main surface would be, for example, B638FF and the dots would be FFCA38. You would have a primarily purple spawn egg with orange dots on it. All the combinations you could make would give you a million custom spawn eggs to create!
If it comes to it, the spawn egg could just have the dots be a darker shade of the color and the main area the actual color, so with 12C0FF it would be light blue, but the dots would look more like 0B79A1. So if you were to add this, it would probably relight the good old days of Command Block Creations and have a TON of creativity spark from the Minecraft community.
