You can interact with Villagers differently by talking with them. Talking too much at once can annoy the villagers. If a villager is not annoyed and you talk to them daily, your relationship will change. When you go to trade, it will tell you the relationship level you're at with the villager in the top left. Enemy - Unwanted - Stranger - Friend - Trusted. It always starts off as stranger unless you help with a raid which sends it to trusted/friend. Being in the higher level of relationship can make you have better deals so you don't need to get as much of the item they want or how expensive it will be.
