Enhanced glass light towers in oceans

Underwater glass towers should be able to be lit by all light sources rather than just natural sun/moon light (things like torches, lanterns, magma blocks, and other blocks/items that emit light). If glass towers built directly from the ocean floor to the surface without obstruction being able to create light underwater is a glitch, then i think it should become an official feature rather than being "fixed".
