Potion Effects on Thorns: an armour enchantment

Hello, i just thought of an idea called potion effects on thorns, it really is just that; thorns that can give you weakness, poison, or any other potion effect, as well as setting you on fire. I think that this would be a good idea, especially for multiplayer minigames such as kit pvp, as well as a way for players to just have a more unique experience, just like the potion arrows. The way this could work was that once you got thorns on a piece of armour, you could put that armour piece on an enchantment table again and there would be a chance of a special thorns coming up to put on it. You could get enchantment books as well, they can only be put on things that have thorns already, just like the enchantments in the enchanting table. Each armour piece could have up to one special thorns enchantment on it, so very experienced late game players could inflict up to four effects. Thanks!
