Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Call it Nether Acid or something, but make it possible to gather (maybe with Bottles instead of Buckets) so you can spill it elsewhere and it "burns" through a specified number of blocks before settling, like a less chaotic TNT.

To add more danger, it could also flow faster than normal lava, maybe as fast as water.

Lava already flows as fast as water when in the nether.

To expand on the idea some more: If placed in water, instead of creating obsidian it would create a new block, the Sulfur block. A pocket of air would be created around the block, as if a sponge was placed- the lava's high temperature would evaporate it. Blue lava does exist somewhat in real life. In Indonesia there's a volcano where the lava burns a bright blue due to the high number of sulfur deposits in the volcano. The block can be mined, and put in a crafting table to make 9 sulfur, and visa-versa, like coal, wheat, gold, etc.. I could generate In small pools or in columns in the Soul sand vallies. If used as fuel for a furnace it will burn for 1.5 as long as normal lava would. It would deal double damage like regular lava, and Netherite would be immune to it as well.

Call it SOVA. Maybe it should also:

    • - Set nearby combustible blocks on soul fire
    • - Create blackstone in contact with water
    • - Deal lava's damage, but twice as fast (similar to how soul fire works)
    • - No idea what it should do when touching regular lava

Maybe it could be found in something like 1 in 10 basalt deltas in place of regular lava.

And if it comes in contact with regular lava... It creates blackstone. So if a large amount of soul lava (thats what im gonna call it) you get a small bridge of blackstone

You should be able to collect with bucket but a reinforced one with like a brick of nether right and a normal bucket to get blue lava

Yes, but I think this should be much more like water in the overworld that changes colour depending on the biome

Or it could create crying obsidian when it comes into contact with lava or water

Blue lava? Could have a great use both aesthetically and if it has different properties as you said, in map making! Perhaps it could be the mainstay of a new cave biome.

Oh yes, Api Biru or sulfur lava would be perfect for this because it is hotter than regular lava. Also it could run faster than regular lava in the overworld but still slower than water.
