Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Gold Doors, Trapdoors, and Bars

On throne of gold I hope to sit,
With back and arms of royal fit,
Of wood and iron I should quit,
For these thrones look like manure.
I reign not from deep in sewer,
My palace stands in great grandeur,
But wooden doors the dead oft cracks,
And of majesty, steel detracts.
Doors of gold, then!  For this I ask.

Okay, okay.  So yeah, wood and iron doors, fences/bars, and trapdoors are both great for their purposes, but other materials would do wonders for builders as well.  I believe the most obvious choice for this is gold; there are very few uses for gold currently, mostly in creating functional items like powered rails or golden apples, but almost no decorative value at all, despite decoration being one of the most historically common uses for gold.  As such, I think gold should have more decorative uses, of which the most decoratively versatile options are doors, trapdoors, and bars.  From there, any new decorative uses for either iron or gold (for example, if iron slabs/stairs were to be added) should be given to the other material as well.

    Thinking on the redstone side of this I have a few ideas

     golden trapdoors

    1. need x amount of mobs/entities on it to open automatically.
    2. need x strength of redstone signal to open
    3. need strong signal to open aka repeater type signal

    They should have a piglin snout or pattern similar to that of chiseled blackstone as their window or door.

    A gold door could be opened and closed with a golden key in hand.

    The key could be made of little nuggets. Three nuggets in a row and one down at the end.

    This does not complicate things too much and it would make sense as Piglins do tend to open doors.... very naughty!
