    What's weird is they were unemployed once cured at the initial 1.11 release, but in 1.12(?) they changed it so they have existing jobs when cured.

    Super unhelpful for trying to get mending villagers & the like near your base without transporting a lad from an existing village.

    I agree with you miles, I have been trying to get librarians and weaponsmiths in my base on a world that was created on bedrock edition 1.2's release, and I got other villagers who will not change their job.

    Did you know that you can use job site blocks to change a villager’s profession?

    It should be a small chance (5-20%?) that they have jobs. Agree with this suggestion so my efforts are not wasted.
