I think the guardian’s have a lot of potential, so I propose a guardian should get an upgrade. The elder guardian’s are always the inside the temples waiting to fight the player, but for being such a threatening mob they don’t seem to do much, so I got an idea for them.
This might sound a little ambitious but hear me out, I think the elder guardians should get upgraded to full on boss status like the ender dragon and wither, however they would need to be reworked a little so here are my ideas, instead of being in normal temples it would be in a more hard to find temple deep in the ocean, however the only way to find said temple would be to get a special item in normal temples that can locate said temple, maybe you would get it by finding a special chest in the temple. Once you have it you can go off to find the temple they are in and enter.
Once you’re in you have to navigate you’re way through it and find the area where you would summon and fight the elder guardian. As for the actual fight itself, the difficulty would be around or higher than the wither but not as difficult as the ender dragon, the elder guardian would be a bit bigger and would have more moves to use which you have to avoid.
Similar to how the ender dragon drops the egg and the wither drops a nether star, the elder guardian would also drop a unique item, perhaps it’s function could give water breathing, maybe better mobility underwater, or maybe just a decoration.
