Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Crafting

-Hard wood can be crafted by 9 logs in a crafting table

Looks
-Could have oak colors with iron block texture; silver slivers covering 1/3 to 1/2 of the texture

Uses
-can possibly be used in places of iron ingots at least for 2 slot hoppers, buckets or pistons that can push 5 blocks, not likely for tools.
-Could have a retextured look for those things if wanted
-Doesn't light on fire
-Is tougher to break
-Can be moved with pistons
