Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Soul sand/ magma for elytras

Similar to bubble columns, these blocks would generate air currents that would lift/pull the player using an elytra or other flying mobs. These blocks could be crafted with a material found in the end cities and soul sand/ magma. This would add a new way to move around the world and give more functionality to the elytra beyond rockets.
