Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Blue sponge

This strange block attracts hostile mobs! if they try to move they will not be able to. This block will poison any mob that it attracts. This block could simplify mob farms too! This block could be crafted by placing sponge (dry) in the middle of a crafting table with lapis lazuli around it. This block could give off a redstone signal based off the mobs it has stuck to it.
