I think so too. We should have quicksand in the jungles. It should be one block tall.

I like this. There should be a naturally generated quicksand. You have to do a block hack to make quicksand now. And it does not work exactly like quicksand. It will not let you sink All the way.

I'm thinking maybe you could also craft quicksand by placing sand, clay, and a water bottle in the grid. Quicksand could behave pretty much like powdered snow, only instead of a freezing effect, you suffocate if your head stays in quicksand for too long. If just your legs are in quicksand, you don't take damage. Maybe it could have a similar texture to mud and it could be used as an alternative for powdered snow in surprise pitfall traps.

This may make a great addition for the Wild Update.

    Dear Minecraft Team,
I think it could add several benefits to the game:
    • More interesting desert biomes:
Quicksand would make deserts more varied
    and challenging.
    • New traps: Players could build simple
but creative traps that are easy to
understand and use especially for new
    players.
    • Realistic and educational aspect: Quicksand
could be designed so that players sink faster
when moving and slower when staying still.
This would also have an educational effect,
especially for younger players, by teaching
them how real quicksand works in nature.

I believe quicksand would fit naturally into Minecraft and open up exciting new gameplay possibilities.
