Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Lighthouse Beacon

Well, I know a lot of people and online users that enjoy building ligthouses ! 

But there is no beacon similar to a beacon on a real lightouse. It could be a periodical flash or a rotation beacon. 

I think most users would enjoy it !!

    I don't see the need or desire for Mojang to add a brand new function, for something that seems like it has little use.
    Have you considered putting redstone lamps, with a redstone cycle, that creates a spinning appearance to the light?

    i really like this idea for wayfinding when you stray too far from base. could be super useful if it flashed faintly even if "over the horizon" as it were
