Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Quartz signs

A quartz sign would look and behave like a normal sign (except of course with a quartz texture) with one notable exception - it would only display its text if the block it's located on is powered. This addition would be useful for the creation of maps or minigames, and I'm certain builders would welcome a white sign to go with their modern builds.

    This is a neat idea! I could also see this being useful on PvE or Factions servers, where a lot of players are all in the same world together, and might not want their signs to be visible all the time.

    Another feature that might pair well with this is an ender sign? Anything written on the sign could be visible only to the player who places the sign.
