If this were added, a Maple tree should come with it. This fits due to the Canadian culture around boreal forests.

Maple trees could provide maple syrup! 😋

Consuming it would give the same benefit as eating honey.

Berries such as the Cloudberry (Rubus chamaemorus) should also be found here. They should be edible and restore 1 hunger point. In real life, they are found in tundras and boreal forests across Canada, Scandinavia, Southern Greenland, and Russia.

Yes, I love this idea, was planning to use it myself until I realized you had the copyright.

I’d put those new woods and mushrooms ta good use for sure! Especially maple, would love ta drip sap from it into a bucket and use it for a short swiftness effect too.

And the mushrooms? So many possible recipes with those! You could add a chanterelle to the base mushroom recipe for an extra-nourishing version, or feed it to a brown mooshroom for a steadier supply!

Ooh, or how about mushrooms you can stand on? Big ol’ shelf fungus that takes an axe ta break!

Could also put in run-down log-and-plank mining shelters as a unique structure, like igloos but leading to small branches of mineshaft instead.

And ya make those shelters lead ta something useful, how about a unique underground too? I’d put in veins of clay and increase the number of coal veins in these chunks, to reflect the climate and soil composition of this cooler biome.

That sounds great, but is this biome a cold biome?
