Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Plants which can grow on the side of blocks e.g Ivy

I think adding more plant blocks which can be placed on the side of blocks, for example Ivy, would be a great way to add decoration and detail to builds. They could also be used for overgrown/ abandon buildings.
You could collect them using shears.
They would be similar to vines, but instead of just growing downwards, they could grow in any direction and spread slowly.
The plants could be mossy, or be leaves, or have little flowers. Also could have different colour variants depending on the biome.

    Nice! I can already see how annoying these could be if you don't remember to place string. XD But in all seriousness, this is a neat idea that could work nicely.

    maybe you could shear the flowers off them to get dye.
