Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Moss

Moss, much like vines, should grow in big, shady forests 

on rocks, logs, trees,ect. It would almost look like green carpet but the edges would be more rough.

and it’s texture would look somewhat like grass. It would spread over a period of time and would look soo beautiful. Mushrooms would grow in the moss. You could collect & use this moss for the compost block, it would make for a great mushroom farm. You could use it for potions or make hearty soup.

Maybe placing it on trees would make them grow taller and more heavy with fruit. (Over time)

It would make the ground more fertile and the Forest more alive (much like real life)

so you can imagine that moss would be rare, since it holds many benefits.

It would make you all the more want to explore the forests and try find this rare moss.

    It seems, from what we could see at the Minecraft Live, that moss will come into the new caves. But I would really appreciate to see it on trees and logs in deep forests.

    How about giving a more moist/wet posing noise to the moss blocks ?
